MONARCH BUTTERFLIES FROM MEXICO VISITING THE MUSIC GARDENS
SCHMETTERLINGHAUS, VIENNA, AUSTRIA
According to TIMEOUT F VIENNA, “the West Wing of the Palmenhaus was converted into a butterfly house after restoration in 1999. Now it’s home to around 40 species acquired from butterfly farms in Thailand, Costa Rica and Brazil, none of them rare or endangered. Several hundred butterflies fly freely in 85% humidity amid a welter of tropical vegetation (the baby bananas are very tempting), fall trees and a waterfall”.
